Anna – Maria KONSTA

Anna-Maria Konsta is a Lecturer in the Department of International Studies at the School of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece, where she teaches Comparative Law and International and European Social Law. She holds a law degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an LL.M. in European Community Law from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, and is a Doctor of Laws of the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. She has, also, taught at the Hellenic National Centre of Public Administration, the Greek National School of Judges, the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT), and has worked, as a paid trainee, both for the European Commission in Brussels and the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.  She has been a visiting lecturer at the Peking University, a visiting scholar at the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing, China, a Research Associate in the Department of Politics of the University of Leicester, UK, and a research fellow at the School of Law of the University of California at Berkeley, USA. She has published in the field of Comparative and European Social Law.

Dimosthenis LENTSIS

Dimosthenis Lentzis (b. 1978) is lecturer in EU law at the Faculty of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, since 2013. Between 2005 and 2012 he worked as an administrator at the DG “Library, research and documentation” of the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg. He holds a law degree, a master’s degree in international legal studies and a PhD in EU law from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has published three monographs on EU law (in Greek), the most recent one (2017) dealing with the free movement of EU citizens as opposed to the national interests of the Member States, as well as a number of articles and case comments on European citizenship, the right of access to documents held by EU institutions, the rights of air passengers and the possible control by the ECJ of austerity measures adopted to tackle the ongoing financial crisis. He is a member of the Hellenic Society for European Law and the Réseauacadémique sur la Chartesocialeeuropéenne et les droits sociaux. He speaks English and French.

Dimitrios GOULAS

Key expert – Researcher

Dr. DimitriosGoulas, apart from being a practicing lawyer, teaches as an Adjunct lecturer at various Greek university departments, both at graduate and post-graduate level. He has published research papers in major Greek legal periodicals, and has made various presentations in scientific conferences both in Greek and English. His research interests focus on European labour law and non-discrimination law.


 Researcher, Assistant to the Project Manager

Nikolaos Gaitenidis has recently completed his PhD studies in the department of International and European Studies (University of Macedonia). His research focuses on the promotion and protection of cultural diversity in the European Union. His multidisciplinary educational background (He holds a BA in International and European, Economic and Political Studies, and an MA in International and EU Law) allows him to analyze and assess effectively multifaceted aspects of European integration. The title of is master thesis is “The Role of Civil Society in the European Union”.

Currently he is a research associate of the newly founded Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in the University of Macedonia, and was a research assistant in the Jean Monnet Chair of the University. He is also a research associate at the Centre for International and European Economic Law.

In the past he had also provided research services at the Directorate of Studies of the Hellenic Parliament.

He has developed his ability to adapt to multicultural environments during his participation in Models United Nations around the world. Furthermore he has demonstrated his organisational and leadership skills during his chairing of 2 committees in ThessisMUN 2007 and 2008. He is a committed lifelong learner and experienced project manager.
